A prestigious and challenging project was undertaken by Rite Water Solutions and ORAIPL under the aegis of the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG). The goal of the project was to reduce the pollution load on river Ganga or its tributaries.

The project undertaken for Shri Guru Ram Rai Darbar Sahib demonstrates a well-structured and efficient approach to tackling water quality issues in a sensitive and high-traffic environment, like a temple pond during a major festival. A breakdown of key aspects of the project is presented below.

Kalamna Village, a rural community, relies on a well as its primary source of drinking water. Water is pumped from this well to an Elevated Service Reservoir (ESR), from where it is distributed to the villagers. Throughout most of the year, the water quality remains adequate for general household use with some basic treatment, which includes disinfection using an existing electro-chlorination system.
